I had this done to me a couple years ago but my wrist bone shifted and healed incorrectly so they had to re break it while I was under. I was given no pain meds after it was terrible experience
Did you ask for pain meds?

Yo I had the same thing happen but my bones were so weak they didn’t have to re break it they just bent it back into place while I was under
😭😭😭😭 I had the surgery 14 days ago today stitches were supposed to be removed and after removal of the stitches doctor asked for x-ray and told after looking at the x-ray that one bone was missed accidently and it's hanging in there and need do the surgery again 😭😭😭 I'm completely fuked up don't know what to do

Wow!!👀 So that's what was done on my wrist also? Had surgery Jan 13th finger exercises 48 hours later! 2 piece cast w/ace bandage OT started one week after surgery. One set of 25 reps 3 times a day. From Doc&OT therapist. Could be just me but I think that many screw in such a small area seems a bit overkill?? But I'm not a doctor. All in all the Doc did a fine job. No stitches glued skin together??

I just had this done going on 3 weeks ago. December 8, 2020 How do they avoid severing a nerve? My fingers move but at night it’s extremely painful
Me too. Almost 3 weeks. Yes it is painful at night and when I sleep.
@@elproscrito209 how are you? I got it done week ago at night tough to sleep.
It goes away with time. I'm 3 months in. No pain but still itches here and there and maybe some pain if I use my hand for too long or try and lift heavy.
@@murtuzamehdi3075 it took me quite a few months to really gain good control of my hand and wrist. I was afraid to even use it. You? I didn’t do therapy. I just went with it. It’ll 11 months now. It’s not perfect but it’s ok
@@precisionbrown6829 thanks for replying...yeh bruh same no therapy it has 3 months movement and grip is good but still there is some pain and swelling

For some reason, I can't find a video that the surgery is performed on top of the wrist, I have a scar because i had a surgery for fractured wrist which was a Smith fracture
They don’t do surgery on top. It’s done underneath your wrist so if it scars badly, which is rare, then there’s not much scaring to see. Lots of nerves in both areas. That’s something they deal with. We deal with the outcome. When I got out of surgery that was awfully painful. I can take a lot of pain but that was intense. I kept asking for as much pain medication as possible! I was good until the next day. Didn’t have to take any pain meds until the following day after

Nah bro I just had this surgery done a week ago I had a fractured scaphoid
Same here scaphoid surgery and screw inaerted. There's light at the end of tunnel though don't expect to have 100% normal. I fractured in end of Sept 2014, had the surgery in 4 weeks. Don't skip physio. Wrist strength and flexibility is paramount. 92% is where I'm at.
Fractured and broken mean the same thing!

Get it bro don't delay. may prolong your recovery. No 100% after surgery though, a mere 90 plus percent which is good. Constant physio is a must but don't overdo it.
@@jamisa3668 i got it done like 5 years ago cause of a snowboard accident..didnt follow thru with physio and it hurts sometimes, what have u done for recovery?
@@dmullz100 Just bending the wrist and holding it there both ways with weights, and push ups. Light handstand with some help to start with.

@@dmullz100 Feels horrible especially if you've never seen cuts and stitches on your body. The good thing though is that there's a light at end of the tunnel.
Do your due diligence before making this choice.

My mother just had rotator cuff surgery and I could not find any decent instructions on how to put the shoulder sling immobilizer on. We had to adjust it and it slid down so we took it off and started over. Your instructions on how to put this immobilizer on was very helpful as well as the instructions for the exercises. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. :)

Im due for a Knee Arthroscopy Thursday 22 of June on both my knees. Do you advise doing both knees together or not? I had no injury just very noisy and sore knees from childhood.

I'm guessing you re-attached the biceps tendon lower on the humeral head so less of a chance for impingement??

If I lean back in the shower to rinse my hair, I will fall. I am very off balance to tbe left also. Surgery is my only option. (They said).
